

Amy Liu is a San Diego based pianist, conductor, and flautist.
She is currently the Keys 2 player on the national tour of Hairspray.
About
Amy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and Music from the University of California, Berkeley. Since graduating, Amy has worked as a music director and pianist. Most notably, she was the Assistant Music Director and Keys 3 player on the national tour of Summer: The Donna Summer Musical and the Keys 2 player on the national tour of Hairspray.
Amy started her training on piano at the age of 4. At 6 years old, Amy participated in the San Jose International Piano Competition, bringing home an honorable mention. Amy then went on to complete all of her Certificate of Merit testing through the Panel level, participating in the honors recital for the top performers of her year.
Amy started playing the flute at age 9. She participated in multiple symphonic ensembles throughout San Diego, such as the San Diego Youth Symphony. Amy continued to play flute throughout college and was an active member in the University of California, Berkeley Symphony Orchestra and Chamber Orchestra.
Aside from music, Amy is also a software engineer. She previously interned and worked at Meta for 4 years, mainly focusing on the Top of Home team on the Facebook iOS app.
When not traveling for work, Amy resides in San Diego, where she spends her free time with friends and family and playing video games.
